Susanne Magdalena Karr was born and raised in Munich. Studied philosophy and German philology at the University Vienna and completed her doctorate in art and cultural studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
In the course of her philosophical research she focused on the philosophy of the human-animal relationships and the artificial boundaries of nature/art, human/animal and body/soul. In December 2015 her book “Verbundenheit” [“Connectedness”] has been published.
She works as independent arts editor and copywriter for architecture, performance, art, design and urbanism. Connecting different intellectual disciplines plays an essential role in her work.
